Do people know what you do?
You may think it is obvious but the conversations I have had this week tell me otherwise. Even the people closest to us may not understand what we actually do!
How can you effectively communicate the length and breadth of what you do? As you share your business with people, the key is to get referred to people who connect with what you offer. This idea comes straight from Tim Templeton's book, "The Referral of a Lifetime."
What if you started viewing the people around you as your unpaid sales force? If they fully understand your business, they can become your biggest advocates!
I challenge you to have a conversation with three people this week. Ask them these three questions:
What do you do?
Who do you help?
What do you need in your business?
